Same experience for me on the street. Difficult to lock rear with worn stock Dunlop. New K270 will lock up before my foot even hits the pedal - I swear - and can be positively thrilling at speed. First day out on the new tire and I a) found a nearly hidden stop sign while cruising county road at 55-60 and b) approached a light at 55 or so that changed to yellow at that exact distance that makes you get on the brakes hard. Memorable experiences both. I'm not worried about improving the rear brake setup right now. I hope I get a little grip back as the tire ages. I guess I'm pretty conservative in the twisties - the new tire hasn't bothered me at all while cornering. Still looking forward to grooved pavement or steel grid bridge decking.
