The procedures for the upgrade are described in the classic KLR issue December '99 by Elden Carl. Here are excerpts of Elden's instructions: Balancer mechanism update The part nos are: 92144-1860 Idler Spring 670B1507 7mm O-Ring 92200-1263 Washer 92150-1923 Bolt, idler adjuster 92026-1462 Spacer, Idler 39133-1060 Sprocket, Idler 92046-1234 Needle Bearing 39115-1077 Shaft, Idler The last four parts cannot be installed without machining .075" material from the idler shaft hole in the left inner case. The clutch basket upgrade is: 92143-1769 Collar 18095-1311 Clutch Basket 92022-1868 Washer 92015-1555 Nut Approximately .210" material must be removed from the top of the clutch basket (measure yours).
