[dsn_klr650] stock air filter clean?
Careful with that Coleman fuel. It's gasoline. My old dirtbike manuals
recommended gas to clean a foam filters. It works well but is really
dangerous. I use kerosene now. Squeeze it well then oil and squeeze some
more.

i use about a cup of coleman fuel and an old coffee can and squish it around
for a bit. this loosens all the dirt and oil. then i use dish detergent and
hot water, which seems to get it pretty darn clean. then i let it sit on the
counter to dry while i go watch a football game or something. i try to
minimize the amount of petroleum solvents i use, because i don't have any
good way to dispose of them.
i just started using the no-toil biodegradable filter kit. i've only cleaned
the filter once with it so far, but it seemed to work great, and i'm alot
happier about putting biodegradable stuff down the drain or on the ground or
wherever.
