I was in the hospital in 88 for herniated discs in my sacrolumbar
area.
One of the most instrumental items in my recovery (which is still
happening, twelve years later) is a motorcycle, any kind of
motorcycle, because the posture while riding is very similar to those
Balans chairs (remember those?) and is much better for a person with
disc problems than sitting on one's tailbone in a car, for instace.
Take it from one who knows. I've been down all the roads when it
comes to spine and back injuries, and can show the scars to prove it
if necessary, but the bike is good for your back, due to the posture
it puts you in.
