[dsn_klr650] tires/nklr

Post by Van » Sun Sep 03, 2000 12:01 pm

I just put on a Michelin Sirac on the front and I have a Dunlop Trailmax on the back. So far my impression with them are really good. The Front is very smooth and seems to be great in the rain. I know this because for the last two days I have been riding in the RAIN!!! But watch out for wet grass or wet sand for the rear. I discovered my KLR does not like that terrain. But the hard pack trails are great. No problems. Mud on the other hand??? You need knobbies for that stuff. The front is 75% road / 25% dirt. And made for rain. Good luck, Van

Deks: If your Dunlop is a 130, then with a 140 is only 0.5cm more in each side of the tire. Thanks Luis Castro A5 in the caribbean. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! Mail - Free email you can access from anywhere! http://mail.yahoo.com/

Well first of all, If you zoom in real close you can see rain drops on it. And it is a new front tire. And if I took a shot of the under carriage you would notice clumps of mud that is stuck in the bash plate. If you could see the GOOP job on those tabs on the radiator shroud you would see differently. As for the front fork protectores. Well when I took off the front wheel to change the tire I cleaned em up a bit. Sorry for the cleanlinest. But it's hard to go offroad riding when your with a Harley Davidson rider and a Honda Shadow rider. There just not into it. Haha. I need to find me some real friends. Can't wait to get back in the states to hook up with the list. Later, Van
