[b]Ric,[/b] [b][/b] [b]Your rule of thumb is slightly off. Divide the rear sprocket number of teeth by the front. 43T / 15T = 2.8666 So one tooth on the front is equal to 2.8666 teeth on the rear. Most KLR riding off road will benefit from using a 14T front sprocket. I have only found a steel rear sprocket in a 44T, which won't make much of a difference. You can get a larger aluminum rear sprocket but my experience is that aluminum just doesn't last like steel does. I have all the steel sprockets in stock for the KLR if you need one.[/b] [b][/b] [b]Fred[/b] [b][/b]
