If you have a low mileage, older KLR feel safe with the top four parts on
the balancer side and the four clutch parts on the clutch side. On a high
mileage older model, you would probably have to replace the needle bearing
and idler shaft and possibly the idler sprocket with new, old style parts if
you cannot machine the case.
