[dsn_klr650] hey folks, i managed to scrape pegs on my klr
Did you do that on smooth pavement? If so, that's some serious leaning! I
scraped once, but it was because I hit a large dip in the road while leaned
over.

[dsn_klr650] hey folks, i managed to scrape pegs on my klr
On a big sweeper I ground the _crap_ out of my right peg, just
gzgzgzgzgzgzgzgk (sounded like hitting metal with a bench grinder) and to
make sure it wasn't a fluke, I managed to grind the left one a hair, too.
Got'em both down a few times, coming down the hill from the Sequoia National
Forest on HWY 190 towards Springville. Before you think, "Hey, CA Stu is a
big tub of goo, I bet he just bottomed out.." I have Progressive springs in
the front, and the rear shock preload set at 4. And I'm just a baby boy.

No doubt, pound for pound, mile for mile, elevation drop extreme, that
section of 190 from Quaking Aspen to Springville is is one of the top five
"twisties" in America.

I still find the max pucker on Hwy. 1 between Bodega Bay and Fort Brag. Jenner is where I left some left peg on the road being hottailed by three GS scooters, but I was two-up! Those GS's still corner like crazy though for being a big fat toady wann-be dirt bike... (hey! that is also a discription of the KLR!) Hhe, heh, heh... == Rev. Great road, but nowhere near as tight and no 7000 foot elevation drop. Tame in comparison.

Hi Gang:
I noticed someone on the list was speaking of flywheel pullers. It
reminded me to post this note about a motorcycle tool
manufacturer/supplier to the list. These guys make tools for
motorcycle manufacturers and dealers, but they also sell to end
users.
I don't think too many people know of them. I found out about them
because they bought some of the portable exhaust analyzers that my

They have lots of goodies.
