Swampy, Do we have to explain everything to you? The dickhead is a genuine Kawasaki part, apparently necessary for correct operation of your cycle, but its not on the website, or listed in the shop manual. It works with the bike, but it doesn't actually leave the shop after you buy the bike. Yes, its available for all models. No, the dealer didn't screw you out of your dickhead; you will get screwed by your dickhead, however... That's right...he's your mechanic. And he opens a new can of worms every time he touches your bike. Rich Latest mechanic stories - 1. Friend with a VTR1000 had his tires changed. Dickhead left a short tire iron in the tire. Presented bike to the owner in this condition. 2. Friend with a K75 had some work done to her bike. In the process, they had to remove a vent hose of some sort - think it must have been a crankcase vent hose. Anyway, dickhead (possibly the same one) lost one of the 1" hose clamps in the process. 'That's ok', thought dickhead. 'I'll just put another one on'. But where did the other one go, Mr dickhead? Friend picked up the bike after hours - in the first corner, in traffic, the bike's throttle sticks. Engine screaming, friend freaks out, but has enough composure to clutch in and coast to the side of the road. Hose clamp had slipped from wherever it was sitting and fallen into the throttle mechanism for the injection system, and jammed it open. Please people, do your own work whenever you can; its good for the soul, and might save your life. PS - I'll happily pass on the name of this dealer to any Vancouverites or people interested off-list.
