[dsn_klr650] flywheel puller

Post by Fred Hink » Wed Aug 30, 2000 8:11 pm

Hello Jaime,   I have sold out of the Motion Pro rotor pullers.  I went through all this a while back and have found that Motion Pro does have it's packaging wrong.  The puller you want is for the Husky two stoke models.  I believe the Motion Pro number is MP48.  I have one more place to look in my shop and I may find you another one.  I will let you know.   Fred

I drove up there and bought a Motion Pro puller that indicates is fits the KLR 650 (20mm x 1.5) which it does not. How can Motion Pro and/or Dennis Kirk have this misinformation??    I could order the Kawi puller, but it'll take 2-3wks. Again, I live in Minnesota and the riding season is gonna be ending soon. I've spent the whole fkn' summer workin on that bike. I haven't riden all year.       Am I wrong or does it seem Kawasaki does everthing it can to discourage owner performed maintenance by deliberately employing obscure fkn' tools and components you can only get from them?   The aftermarket scene is much better for Honda. I love the KLR, but because of this crap, I'm starting to wish I bought an XL. [dsn_klr650] flywheel puller

Post by Fred Hink » Wed Aug 30, 2000 8:32 pm

Looks like I am out of the pullers for your bike but I do have a whole pile of them, that are labeled for the KLR, which don't fit.  The one you want from Motion Pro is the one for the Husky two stroke enduro models.  The one you want is a MP48 puller and has a 22mm X 1.5 RH thread.  I can get you one in a few days.   Good luck!   Sagacious Fred  (I hope this is a good thing)

Hey Amigos mine too! My tankbag is fixed, with MotorMark's GOOP cure, it works. I am now a GOOPaholic, and have to go to meetings twice a week. But my tankbag's fixed. It's also gone on many trips, and is holding up well. I would like a bigger better bag but you can't have everything. I hope this bad attitude cop crap this guy started is over. Chow.
