tubes vs tubeless

Greetings All: Noticed the thread on tubes vs tubeless the past few days. Just spooned on a new set of IRC GP110s this afternoon, and was again reminded of the advantages of a tubed setup for off road/dualsport/adventure touring use: -easy to seat the bead with limited air capacity (hand pump) -even if the bead doesn't completely seat, it'll still hold air, and you can ride on it -more likely to be "useable" if the tire has more than just a simple puncture (assuming the tube is patchable, of course; or you have a spare tube) -even a badly dented rim will still hold air (no rock hammering to straighten a rim!) -in a pinch, you can use a front tube in the rear tire BTW, I fell for the hype, and bought a set of Aerostich's Titanium Tar Arns. These are really nice tools!!! Light, well shaped, smooth edges (easy on hands, AND tubes). Easily the best set of "portable" tire irons I've ever used. Like a lot of Aero gear, they're pricey, but very good value. Try 'em, you'll like 'em. Spokes and tubes forever, Tom
