wind noise was "let me tell you!!"

Rob, I have the taller Kawi screen and no, it doesn't solve the problem. I recently rode my brother-in-law's VFR 800 through town and out on some backroads. I was having so much fun that it took me a while to realize that I didn't have any "roaring" in my ears, even without earplugs, at highway speeds (60-80 mph). The VFR, and other touring and sport touring bikes, have a slot low in the winscreen that allows a small amount of air in behind the shield. My assumption, and maybe Chris Krok (the windtunnel guy) can verify this, is that the air moving through this slot and up the back of the screen re-directs or cancels the turbulence from the air spilling around the fairing. The upshot was, the VFR was a lot more pleasant to ride, even with it's lower windscreen. Cheers, D. GBG eh14
