dianese jackets [nklr]

JD, I have a Dianese Europa Jacket, their Cordura flagship jacket a few years ago. The quality is top notch. The fit, fabric, wrist closures, and comfort are second to none, IMHO. The sleeves are nicely contoured. With the gortex liner, it is actually leak proof. Good protection as well. The only down side, and the only complaint I have ever heard, is that the Dianese is warm. It has pit vents, however, the jacket is lined and seam sealed (leak proof) which renders the vents ineffective. It is not unbearable as I wear mine on 100F+ days. It is just hotter than a Darien. For your SO, Dianese is a great choice since the Italian tailoring makes for a good fit. My next jacket will either be a Dianese or a Darien. The Darien is cooler, but the Dianese has a better fit and is leak proof. -Mark mengebretson@...
