Well written, Gino. There was a brand new one on the Nez Perce Ride. It shed several plastic parts in the course of the ride, including the wierd rock guard or whatever it is at the rear wheel. It didn't flop over in the silt like the R1150 GSs were doing. The KLR made the 3000 mile trip from my place in CA without so much as a hiccup, backfire, or lost part. It did use almost a quart of oil though. B.B.> I took a short ride on a BMW F650GS Dakar this afternoon, a demo > model at the shop. This is in no way meant to be a thorough > evaluation, but just some thoughts.
