the benefits of the stock klr exhaust

Post by Stuart Mumford » Fri Aug 18, 2000 6:25 pm

I agree that loud obnoxious pipes for their own sake aren't a good thing. If I would have known in advance how loud my original Big Gun was going to be, I may have thought twice about it. The 2nd generation pipe is significantly quieter, and I can even idle along in relative quiet!! Good compromise, if you ask me. As far as horses, I live in a rural area and pass horse on a daily basis. What I like to do is get going at a decent clip and shut the motor off, that way I coast past the horses as quiet as a bicycle. Seems like a lot of my neighbors are used to punk kids on 2 strokes roaring past them WFO without a 2nd thought, and I think I give them a pleasant surprise. Even though I have a Big Gun system, I am CA Stu, Gentleman Motorcyclist.
