darien tamed...somewhat nklr

I knew I married my wife for a reason... She got tired of me sniveling about the sheet metal characteristics of the Darien jacket and suggested (just as many of you did) that I wash it, except she suggested I throw a couple pairs of running shoes in the washer also. So that's what I did. Then I put the jacket and shoes in the dryer and set it on air (no heat) and let the shoes beat the snot out of the Darien for 1 hour. End result was a very pliable Darien that is now easy to put on and wear. Even the collar that was stiffer than Al Gore at the Democratic Convention is now easy to get a long with. Gino
