As recent as the Dynojet kit install? Since you are going to China, you might as well take the original jets along with you. Dodgey ignition is a possibility but KLRs are pretty reliable in this regard, especially when it is something you haven't tinkered with.

Float level low for some reason? Have you drained the float lately to clear any junk? Mister_T
