[dsn_klr650] motorcycle hell

Oh Bryan,
>From where I sit, the experience you describe sounds more like Motorcycle
Heaven. Here on the outskirts of Houston Texas, there is nowhere to go. Flat for hundreds of miles in all directions. _Hot_. While riding is physically possible, there is little joy in it. You speak of windy canyons, I barely remember canyons... This is the most depressing place I've ever lived, and summers are the worst. I used to enjoy summers. Yes, I can ride for a couple of hours through boring flatlands and get to the gulf of mexico. But if you've ever seen it, it's not exactly heaven on earth. Thousands of miles of "dirty dishwater". The other day I left early in the morning before the heat was too stifling, and rode 350 miles, from "point of interest" to "point of interest" that I'd identified on the map and programmed into my GPS. Besides being utterly flat, hot, and boring, all the land is privatized and fenced off. There is virtually nowhere to go offroad. Every now and then I find a hole in a perimeter, and sneak through someones ranch to the shore of a swampy lake or a turgid ditch or murky river. Can you imagine riding 350 miles and seeing *nothing* of interest? Count your blessings. I live in Motorcycle Hell all the time. Texas Tommy (from deep in the bowels of MH)

If you flip the kill switch whenever you put the disk lock on--and never otherwise--then you won't forget to unlock it even once. Dreas
