Hi Cosmo, I had the same problem with clearance on my A13. I made a spacer for the bullet shaped panel locator from 1" square tubing and it helped some, but I still had to radius the trailing edge of the panel with my Dremel. It shaves easily and it's hard to tell it has been changed. I think Gino shortened the muffler spacer to gain clearance. The insulation on the panel also came loose the other day and was melting against the muffler. A quick swipe or two with a hot glue gun fixed that problem. You might check your's before finalizing the installation. BTW, I was one of the listers that had a problem with the IDS2 "S-pipe" leaking. Supertrapp replaced the pipe. They told Dash and I the pipes were out of round due to a defective bending mandrel at the factory. Jim

Cosmo, just cut the spacer so it doesn't push the pipe out so far... Kurt

Hi Jim, Did you get your new one yet? I got mine right away and it worked great. I don't worry about the pipe melting stuff. I did install a heat shield inside that panel, but my problem was with the tail section and not the side panel. I have a slightly modified set-up. I just let it melt the tail section and now I have a custom fit :) I have an IDS and not the IDS2. LaterZ Dash

Hi Dash, I finally got the new pipe after several more calls to S-trapp. Their warranty guy told me he thought we were riding buds and shipped my pipe to you. Since my leak is relatively small, I've been too lazy to replace the part. How do you like your IDS? I like the IDS-2 really well so far, but I'm finding that it doesn't produce the peak HP gains of some other pipes. Jim

I lost the original bolt and spacer. Stopped and bought a chrome socket and new bolt. Not only does it work nice but it looks good. You can buy about any length you need so your pipe spacing will be where you want it. DAngus-Hoping something else falls off so I can replace it with chrome. Happens to all of us (most of all me) all the time...we're so close to the problem we miss the easy answer...the list is great for that...the same thing would happen if you just closed the garage door for a few days... Kurt

Hi Jim, James wasn't listening obviously. Daryl, my neighbor ordered an IDS2 from Fred. The pipe was also the wrong size so I had ST send me two pipes, one for me and one for Daryl. He mentioned in past conversations that you were in contact with him, he knew that you and Daryl were two different people requiring pipes in different parts of the country. Being in customer service and warranty depts. must be very stressful. :) I like my IDS, I have a race series, I need ear plugs for jaunts more than 20 minutes or I'll get a headache and my right ear drum will go numb. I don't know if it's a jetting/pipe thing versus just a pipe thing but Daryl wanted to jet his bike after 5 minutes on my bike. WOW is a direct quote. I like WOW! and I'm always looking for more of it. Daryl has a Quiet Series IDS2 so we are really comparing two different beasts since I'm jetted as well. I do know that my combination is very WOW. Well thanks guys.. not as much for the advise but for making me think it's an easy job... Baught some high heat copper RTV liquid gasket and did the hole thing. You guys must be good.. 25 minutes.. that's fast.. I cant say I'm a mechanic but it took me a hole.... 27 minutes... well it rained all day so it was worth it.. Thanks.. now I have a cool red line around my valve cover.. Total gain ~ 3HP. at least.. Raz A8
