Hey John, Glad to hear you're ok, hope the bike will be fine too. I just got a KLX 650 R this spring, my first dirt bike since I was a kid. I've been riding street so long its been a big adjustment getting used to the dirt. My biggest adjustment problem is that I keep grabbing handfuls of front brake, and not using the back brake. I'm not used to riding with my foot over the rear brake, but for the dirt, this seems to be the way to go. I've been getting better at it, but its definitely an adjustment. I'm having a ball learning though! Got a bunch of stuff from a guy off the list. Don't know if he's still here or not but it doesn't matter. Didn't get the UFO fender so that was disappointing. Also didn't get the connecting flange from the SuperTrapp pipe to the engine pipe. I did get the DualStar center stand. Couple of questions: 1. Can I use a couple of exhaust clamps and a 1 3/4 ID connecting flange along with hi-temp sealer to mount this baby up? If so, how important is the carb re-jet? I've got the DynoJet kit but am still a little concerned about my knowledge of all things carb. 2. The DualStar center stand will not mount with my Moose Bash plate mounted. Looks like I will need to trim at least an inch off the back for it to mount properly. Do I have an older stand or is this standard? What kind of business could trim this plate? I don't have a torch or anything heavy enough to cut it in the garage.
