ruff stuff and miles

[i]Like all of a sudden is the whole bike going to fall apart or something after the heavy off rode stuff on Sunday afternoon with my kid and friends.  Are the wheels going to fall off on Monday while I'm driving down the interstate at 65?[/i] Just ride that dude Bob.  Last month I went to Arkansas to finish up the last part of the TAT which is the ruffer part of it bouncing about the rocks and ledges and going thru lottsa mudholes.  The trip up there was 458 miles which I run at 65-70 then about an average of 30 mph on the trail for 120 miles then end running around thunder storms thru Ok and Tx into Louisiana and down Interstate 49 back to home territory , another 568 miles at from 65 to 80 (on the I-state 75-80). I took my A1 to ST Petersburg Kawasaki , scheduled an appt a week in advance. Dropped her off Thursday after work so the valves would be done first thing Friday."You'll have your bike by noon Friday, end of the day at the latest." When I went to get the bike Saturday it stalled every time I came to a stoplight, idiots didn't reset the idle . Get home my gilrfreind asks , what is that wire hanging there? Idiots didn't plug the fan back in, good thing it was only 97 with 110% humidity ! ERRRRRRRRRRR. So fellow KLR enthusiasts please take a lesson from me. The knowledge gained from doing your own mechanical work far out weighs the supposed time/aggrevation saved.
