[dsn_klr650] missing oil filter tube
I agree that its easy to change the oil, and I do it myself. But there is
one thing that I can see is a great deterrent, and that is disposing of the
used oil. In some places this is no problem, but in others its just about
impossible.

A question to the list.
Changing your own oil is the most straight forward DIY TLC you can do
to your bike.........so am I missing something here: do dealers do it
better?......with the attendant risk of them losing bits of the bike.

nklr used oil
Ya see, that's the one great thing about living in an eco-sensitive city like Los Angeles. The storm drains are all marked "Drains to ocean," so you can just pour your used oil in there, and then the offshore rigs up the coast will pick it up and pump it back to the refinery. Presto, instant recycling! I love this city. C -- Dr. J.
