I saw the "2000 surplus parts" deal on the Dual Star webpage and I couldn't resist. I spend Sunday changing out the rusty tank on my A4 and all the platics. You need four dimensions to get started. There's X, Y, Z and "time". After you lock in to four satellites, then the need for four drops to three because the GPS uses its internal clock (just recently 'corrected') for the time dimension.
