[dsn_klr650] nklr ride to work

Post by Jim Cunningham » Wed Jul 19, 2000 1:14 pm

I would love to ride to work on the trusty A2, but my commute to work is 1-1 1/2 hours one way through total gridlock. some of the worst drivers in the world live here and riding a bike in that is taking your life into your own hands. I rarely see a bike on my commute. No thanks! -----Original Message----- From: Stuart Mumford [mailto:s2mumford@...] Sent: Wednesday, July 19, 2000 12:09 PM To: DSN_klr650@egroups.com Subject: [DSN_klr650] RE: NKLR Ride to Work I did my part and rode to work. I was disappointed to see very few other bikes on the way in. I think this is why bikers always get the short end of the legislative stick. We have little to no organization, and very few people take the time to speak out on biker's behalves. If you have the time ( i.e. are retired, or independently wealthy, or unemployed ) do us all a favor and take some of your free time to be politically active. I think that would be a great legacy to give to the younger motorcyclists amongst us. Where do you live Jim? I think that someone has to be the first bike.. My commute to work is a whopping 11 miles, so I can't relate.... CA Stu < -- Pay more to live close to work, you can always earn more money, you can't earn more time...

Denver is where I am talking about and anyone who has ever driven I25 through rush hour (actually there is no rush HOUR, it rush all the time!) knows what I am talking about. Yea, I know, its not LA, but its bad enough. -----Original Message----- From: Stuart Mumford [mailto:s2mumford@...] Sent: Wednesday, July 19, 2000 12:43 PM To: Jim Cunningham; DSN_klr650@egroups.com Subject: RE: [DSN_klr650] RE: NKLR Ride to Work -----Original Message----- From: Jim Cunningham [mailto:JimC@...] Sent: Wednesday, July 19, 2000 11:14 AM To: 's2mumford@...'; DSN_klr650@egroups.com Subject: RE: [DSN_klr650] RE: NKLR Ride to Work
