[dsn_klr650] installing rallypro handguards

You need to drill out the end of the handle grips to about the same Inside Diameter as the bars. No other bike mods were necessary other than removal of the stock guards. I needed to bend the guard's aluminum bars to fit well on both sides. I used a pair of 18 inch channel locks and my garage floor. A bench vice would have been more elegant, but would have involved more walking back and forth. Be careful about how you fit the guards on the throttle side. If you have to get tricky at all about their placement to keep the throttle from sticking when you tighten up the allen screws, then you probably need to do a little more bending. In the end, I only needed to make sure that I did not press the guards right up against the throttle. Once I was done with the bending, everything went togehter great. The aluminum bars go right around the clutch and break levers to provide max protection, and the fit was perfect. Prior to bending, the guards would only go on at a very low angle providing almost no protection and even then the parts did not mate well with the handle bars or each other. May sound a little involved, but the entire process took less than an hour working in the hot sun with a couple of mandatory beer breaks.
