big to little

Heck Mark, Welcome to the world of easy to ride, easy to turn, easy to park, easy to to bout anything bikes as the KLR. I went from a '92 KLR(after a 6 year lay off because of a crash with a good concussion) which I put 20K miles on in 2 years to a '95 BMW R11GSA which I did 50K on in 3 years to a '97 R11RA whick I've been having 2 years and have only 14k miles on it. Why, '96 DR Suzy then a '97 DR Suzy on a deal I couldn't pass up. But I wasn't keen on the Suzy's highway running for 500 miles to get to where I like to ride. So. sold the DR's and bought another KLR. It's not the BMW with the Leather Corbin seat and windshiel for those long days in the saddle when ya just gotta get there. But, It does the job and you can do more when you get to your destination. Oh yes, in swapping back and forth between the bikes, I have to really chill for a bit as the BMW's weight and 17" front tire with larger footprint makes it understeer till I get use to forcing it down and the KLR oversteers till I get use to not using so much push on the bars. Enjoy Andy Jennings, Louisiana
