I'll probably get flamed for this one too (like the last time from all the people who've obviously never rented "The Holy Grail"....which should be compulsory viewing for all Americans), but, I wonder....... If all bikers carried a pistol strapped to their right thighs, and began shooting a few inattentive cage drivers till the media caught on and started reporting the nationwide phenomenon of psycho bikers.....do you think they all might start to pay just a little more attention to the 2 wheelers? I'll bet they never ran over so many of us when the only bikers out there were members of the Hell's Angels. When I walk down the street for example, - and I'm 6'8" and 270 with a bald head and a goatee - and someone bumps into me, they are always extremely apologetic. Now I climb in my car and some, tofu-slurping, tree-hugging, birkenstock wearing, granola chewing, friend of the whales cuts me off, I look at them, and, lo and behold, they're flipping me off and swearing at me. Something about being in a car just makes people feel invincible. I just think if we made them feel a little less safe concerning the outcome of an accident with one of us they would start to pay more attention. I.e. they just don't currently have any incentive at all to look out for us. (I don't buy the "we're smaller, they just don't see us line...A good friend of mine chased a woman down who nearly killed him one day and asked her "Didn't you see me back there?" "Yes, but you're only a motorcyclist." was her reply). SUPPORT ROAD RAGE. I DO. Contact you're congressman and tell him you support it and hope he does to. PS: Yeah, I'm kidding....but sometimes I am tempted.
