Yep, there it is. My definition of getting drowned is actually dying from it. Taking water in the lungs is probably the most excruciating experience I have ever had. The two military schools I've been to that I am most proud of: Ranger School, and Scuba School. Everything else (Airborne, Air Assault, Master Parachutist, HALO, Sniper, Recondo, SERE, SFAS and SFQC, Jungle, Northern Warfare, to name a few) were just walks in the park in comparison. Jeff

[wdsrc] gps what to get

my gps 111+ will occasionally lose its track in the trees and, more often, in the mountains in n.c. some advice fwiw: either use a mount with a supporting device for the antenna, or remote the antenna in a secure manner to prevent loss. the bnc connector on my gps 111's case loosened because the antenna was unsupported and sorta flopped around. also, wire the gps into the bike's battery. the vibration and bumps sometimes cause the internal batteries to make intermittant contact and the thing will shut itself off without warning. very annoying. hard wire it and remove the batteries. james
> Question about GPS's, Do you ever lose the signal (satellites) in the trees?
