dual-star centerstand kudos

Howdy. I just installed a Dual Star centerstand on my bike and was amazed at how easy the installation was. This is a well thought out design and a great addition. Later...... Greg Pink - Tampa, FL www.pinkman.org gpink@...

tengai research

I have been thinking again. Every now and again I have these moments of mental clarity that can seem otherwise frightening in my usual state. Anyway I have been thinking about obtaining certain Tengai parts for a KLR modification I have been contemplating for some time. This involves brakes, fork lowers, and certain plastic parts. One of the holdups (other than cash) has been the color of the plastic and my reluctance to paint said plastic. This morning I checked in on a website I had bookmarked sometime ago, Tom Shelton's Dual Sport Visual Guide, http://members.xoom.com/johnshelton/dsvguide/ There I discovered that an '89 Tengai appears to have black fenders and brake caliper guards (rather than white or blue as I was previously disposed to believe). Can anyone out there in our studio audience confirm this? Was this bike sold in the U.S. that year in that color or is this Euro/Canadian config. Thanks in advance. Morgan...you know me always thinking.
