Steve, I don't have a stake in Dual Star and don't blame you for being frustrated. After working with Tim Bernard, Arne Larsen and Mike on design issues related to product development I've come to have a sympathetic understanding of the problems you face. The bottomline is this...each batch of stands or racks that is built has the potential for some anomaly. No one cares more about catching those anomalies than Mike Walburn at DUAL STAR. He is going to make your stand work for you at whatever cost he incurs. If you start talking with Mike directly and want the stand to work for you he will make it work. That is superb customer service. He is also going to be monitoring the process to see if something has developed in the production that needs to be justified. You can ask for better. So, I'm not criticizing you for voicing your frustration I'm just trying to share a different perspective. You won't find Mike Corbin available to you on the phone to correct a problem with a Corbin seat...Corbin's customer service is a different matter... Ditto. I think Mike truly cares about righting any problems a person has with his products. The key is to be patient and realize the Dual Star is producing a product -the centerstand- that would normally not be available for the KLR650. You'll find that he is an invaluable resource for dual sporting products.
