nklr-j. rocket ballistic pants vs cortech
Hey,
I just bought a Teknic Mach One (and convinced Dash so much he
ordered one as well) and as far as quality and venting goes, it's
first rate. I compared a lot of the lower priced gear because I'm on
a budget. I don't know about Cortech because I've never seen any of
it, but my Teknic jacket and pants are (in my own humble opinion)
head and shoulders above JR Ballistic. The Teknic jacket and Sprint
II pants both have full, zip out liners. The jacket has vents in the
sleeves (as well as the body) that actually work really well at
getting air moving through it. Air exits on the back at shoulder
blade level. Excellent padding (plastic over foam)and a spine pad
(stiff foam, no plastic). I live on Vancouver Island, BC, so I can't
say what the gear will be like in hotter climates. Maybe ask Dash
after he's had his for a while.
I'm not sure what prices are like down there for the various brands,
but I think the Mach One goes for around $200 US. Have a look at
them at http://www.teknicgear.com/. They come in other colors not
listed on the website. The Sprint Jacket is similar to the Mach One,
but without the venting, and both are claimed waterproof/breathable.
All I can say is that I'm very happy with mine.
Cheers,
D.
