help... (nklr)

Post by Arne » Tue Jun 13, 2000 12:25 pm

To my computer literate friends...   I've been having computer problems...  Long story short - I ended up re-formatting my C: drive, re-installing everything, and seem to have all my hardware working properly now...   HOWEVER:  I'm in the process of setting up my Email and can't get around something...  Everytime Outlook Express checks for new mail (I have it set for every 5 minutes), I keep downloading the same group of messages off the server.  With the sheer # of List mail that comes through... this could be a BIG hassle to say the least...  It never did this before...  For some reason, the messages are not being removed from the server when they are being downloaded...  There must be a setting that allows one to "read" the messages on the server but leave them intact, with the option of "removing" them from the server permanently when the server is checked - which is how it all seemed to work before - only I never had to do anything to set it up.  I've looked (seemingly) everywhere and can't find the answer.  Is this a setting that I do "outside" of my Outlook settings?  Any ideas?   If you can help, please respond off list.  THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!   Arne
