fresh off the road... and an intro (nklr)

Post by Andrew Frink » Sun Jun 11, 2000 10:48 pm

Just wanted to give a real intro to myself as I am new here. My name is Andrew (from SLC, UT) and I just bought (in March) a Y2K KLR 650. My first motorcycle. I wanted something: * inexpensive * strong (I am hard on my gear) * forgiving for a new rider The KLR has met all of my needs so far. Just a damn cool bike. One other reason I went for it was the thriving community/aftermarket world around the bike. I have been sifting through the archives looking for and getting answers to all sorts of questions. Ya'll seem like a great bunch of folks. I hope that as I gain some experience I can offer something back. Today I completed my first ever motorcycle tour. I went from SLC down to Arches National Park. Spent the weekend hiking around and loving the fact that I was on a motorcycle. Probably ran into some of you down there as well--I was the scruffy guy on the new KLR with the big ugly milcrate on the back. A little too shy to introduce myself... maybe next year. Thank you all for your help so far. -Andrew A14
