[dsn_klr650] klr vs ktm shootout (klr rpm...)
Hello
My concern was more for overall engine life vs low end, low speed torque
for dirt riding. I came to the conclusion that I'm getting the 14 and
switching back and forth as needed. I find the stock sprocket good for
everything but the heaviest dirt....Have fun...Mark

Hello to the list. I'm new here (name's Andrew from SLC, with a Y2K KLR).
From what I have read, isn't peak torque on a KLR (stock) at around 5000 -
5500 rpm? This would seem to indicate that somewhere around there is a good
place to run the engine. My KLR (with 1500 miles) runs at ~5000 rpm at 75,
btw.
