teknic mach one jacket - nklr
Hey, Dash.
I have a Mach One coming in the next week or so via mail order. I
tried on a Sprint at a bike show in Vancouver and liked it a lot
better than the Joe Rocket stuff (I'm on a budget, so Aerostitch is
out of my range). I was goint to order the Sprint, but the guy on
the phone recommended the Mach because it has better
venting for warm weather at about the same price. Other than that,
the features are pretty much identical, esp when it comes to the
armour (waaayy better than JR).
I run a 44 chest (5'11", 195), so I think that puts me in a medium
with room for extra clothing. They seem to size a bit big, but I
think there is a size chart on the website somewhere. There are also
other colors available that are not listed. (I ordered Royal
Blue/Black). I have a set of Sprint II pants coming with the jacket,
so I'll let you know my opinions of the whole set-up after it arrives.
As for dealers, my experience is that there are places that have and
sell Teknic gear all over, so maybe phone around and ask. I dunno
where you live, but a lot of shops do carry their stuff.
FYI, this is the website I used: http://www.teknicgear.com/
I ordered my stuff from: http://www.powersports.on.ca/ in Toronto,
Ontario. The website isn't completely up, but there is a 1-800#.
Very helpfull staff, and they make deals!
Cheers,
D.
