(nklr?) hand signals

I was always under the impression that you signaled with your LEFT arm for one thing....
 
Left arm to the left (straight out) means left turn.
Left arm bent up (shoulder to elbow straight out, elbow to fingers facing up) means right turn.
Left arm bent down (shoulder to elbow straight out, elbow to fingers facing down) means stop.
