Call me anal-electric, but at some point after the rally, I'm going to change out a battery that, as of now, is just fine. It's a 3+year old sealed (Yuasa I think). I'll be in some out of the way places this Summer and would just fell better about it. I was going to go to the same store as before and get the same thing. Then, awhile ago on the list someone posted a address for gel batteries; I checked and they come in klr size. The first I heard of these was a rave review from a Goldwing guy I met in Baja. He claimed they could be left for months without charging. They weren't available for cycles at that time; his wasn't a moto-unit but adapted from another source. Anybody know of any downsides to these things ? Bogdan
