To all who responded to my valve questions, Thank You. To the rest, thanks for putting up with my e-mails. Thanks in part to you fellows, my KLR is now back together and running well, much quieter(I suspect the balancer chain is responsible for this). I got her together Friday Night and put 250km on this weekend. Runs great. Now that I have done the valves once, it shouldn't be any problem in the future. I appreciate the knowledge gained from the list. To those who replied, I found a torque wrench and used it. For my peace of mind I'm glad I did. I'm a very worrysome type of person. Thanks Again.
