I'm not Darrel but I've been using Mobil Uno 15-50 for 25k miles.(except for 3k where I wasted money on moto-specific Mobil 1 10-40) Non of the problems you mentioned or any others. You do use a bit more oil but not enough to matter. Christians and Buddhists agree that we're put on earth to suffer, sorry. Maybe New Agers have an easier approach. I'd also like to ask skip (or anyone else) what he thinks about the use of oil supplements that contain added zinc? My neighbors who's airplane wrench swears by Hyperlube at 10%, been doing it for years and says he can see the difference on teardowns. Sounds kinda snakey- oily to me but ya never know? I generally stay away from additives, mainly because they don`t live up to their claims when actually tested . I can`t say that I can find any reason NOT to use STP. I know it has higher levels and therefore might be of benefit. But would the cost of adding it get you close to an oil that doesn`t need it? I haven`t checked. One thing I strongly advise against is using additives with synthetic oils. This is a BIG no no. Synthetics have a very critically ratioed blend matrix and the addition of another chemical has been shown to actually break the matrix down in some oils, and also lower viscosity indexes. As far as the Hyperlube goes, it`s illegal to use in a certified aircraft. The only FAA approved oil additive is AvBlend. Aircraft engines tend to be very particular about oil additives and I won`t take a chance of risking someone`s engine, let alone their life with unproven and illegal additives. I have heard of mechanics (who, me?) who do use Marvel Mystery oil to help with sticking rings and sticking valves, and it does work. I swear I can`t figure why my font`s keep changing. Any ideas anybody? I use Outlook Express 5.0. Skip

This is also the cause of the line down the right side instead of the >'s. Thank Microsoft for that one. You could get around the problem by going into and then unchecking messages using the format in which they were sent> and set to . If you want to use HTML just change the Format after- wards as I have just done. Walt I`ve tried that. What I`m referring to is that when it changes in the middle of a post I`m writing. Skip
