Mark, Good start. Now with Arne's ok, we could place actual music files in the "FILES" section that could be downloaded to our home computers & then recorded onto cassette or 'burned' onto a cd-rom ... ain't technology great? Huh???

Mark- Why wait for a company to make one... I made one myself and it is about 9"x11"x2", has a 37GB hard drive in it (for about 600 hours of music, my current collection is about 14 GB), and runs off 12vDC. Made it for about $500, and the best part is, it is a full operational linux box! So whose up for RC5 cracking on their way out to Moab (just have to hook up my Sprint PCS phone to it)... Haven't tried shock testing it yet, so I may put in a old 4 GB drive and see how much I can get the heads to slam into the platter. Perhaps I could tie the speedo and a GPS into it for a trip computer to end all trip computers... I would think that you could fit a whole lotta topo maps onto a 37GB drive and plenty of music too (even at 192kbits/sec)... Anyone had experience mounting a 9" TFT LCD screen to their handlebars?
