Not a bad idea. I've been thinking of getting some sort of adapter made for my floor jack that mimicks the fitting on top of the standard scissor jack, thus allowing safe use of the floor jack on the standard rocker panel jacking points. That way I wouldn't have to bother with getting a fitting made for my power drill to run the scissor jack. Ok, I'm lazy. Why would I bother? I do rotate my wheels occasionally so only need to lift one corner at a time. Doncha hate it when you get the car back from from some mechanics and they've obviously used a centre post hoist and placed the lift pads under the notches on the rocker panels and flattened the ridges?
