newbie handlebar observation

Post by Dust » Fri May 12, 2000 11:30 pm

Just had my first service done (in the process of relocating and didn't have the time or interest to do it myself this time). While it was in the shop, I had them rotate the bars forward a bit. WOW!!! the bike handles SO MUCH LIGHTER than before. Is this a normal observation or do I need to check out the steering head (triple clamp?) to make sure they didn't screw anything up (or loosen and not tighten)? Shop seems like a very honest organization and have a good rep in Tulsa. Bars are now at almost parallel to the front forks. Were rotated about 1" toward the seat before. New to the bike world, so be gentle???? hehehe BeemerBigDog..uh, I mean, Dust A14 "Rhino" Man with BIG Grin
