Scott The technique you describe is almost perfect for pavement use. When entering a turn... You just finished braking, while unloading the front end you start to get it over... as soon as the lean is initiated you start on the gas. You need to transfer weight to the rear wheel, since your weight is primarily supported by your outside buttocks and thigh (high on the CG) you need to get more of that weight under the CG of the bike. So you end up loading the outside peg. There is a more stand-up version but mastering that will take a while in dirt and much, much more on pavement. I'm not grizzled either but I haven't shaved since yesterday. Have a great time in FL. I love the Keys. Swimming with Barracuda is so much fun and diving for grouper usually has a delicious outcome. LaterZ Dash> > Tried a dirt riding technique on the KLR, today on the street. Weighing >the outside peg in a tight turn (pushing down on the peg opposite the turn >you're entering, forcing more tire on surface). I make no claim to be a >grizzled street veteran. Is this a street technique?
