supertrapp update

Post by JSherlockHolmes@aol.com » Fri May 05, 2000 1:24 pm

Well, just got off the phone with Geri at Supertrapp. Very nice, helpful, and sweet natured woman. The long and short is that Supertrapp is going to fix my broken fastener problem at no cost. On the lighter side, she did mention that she has three bikes and has never stripped a screw or broken a fastener. She claims that it is all the muscles of us men and maybe we should have our wives or girlfriends change out our disc's. ;-} LOL. For "expert" listers. I am in digest mode. How do I access attachments that are sent with messages on the list? I keep seeing "This message contains attachments" but I don't see the attachment file. Is there any way I can stay in digest and still access the attachments? Also just got off the phone with Russell Day-Long saddles. Their production schedule won't allow me to obtain a saddle until August. Geez, what a wait. So, my question to the experts out there is.........is the Russell saddle truly worth the exorbitant cost and wait period? I have the original downsloped Corbin and I hate it. It hurts my tailbone like the fires of Hades'. Plus I can't stand squishing my future children on the fuel tank every time I come to a stop. Also, I was wondering if anyone has long term experience with the Saddlemen/Travelcade seat kit and how it works for, say cross country riding. And last but not least, anyone have anything to say about the Cobra ISDE exhaust? Good or bad. Thanks for all the help. Jim Sherlock 97' KLR650, 82" FT500

I got Tim's original side racks on my doorstep this morning.  I was fairly excited.  I opened the box and read the instructions..3 times.  I didn't see how it could possibly be that simple to install.  But I was wrong, It took me less than 20 minutes to install the racks, and that included gathering my tools.  They fit solid and look great.  I can tell that I am going to love them for years to come.

        Thanks Tim!!
