[dsn_klr650] lacing wheels: mostly nklr
Well gang,
The Corbin is out, thanks all. I have a new cover, I should just get
creative and make my own comfort, gel pad from JC whitney perhaps. Tom's
DID rims are in if he doesn't sell them on me and they are actually gonna
fit.
Excels are too expensive for my riding requirements.... Well Ok I ride like
hell but I'm not racing. I want them but the stockers are made by the same
Co. Certainly different quality, but they seem pretty stout to me.
I'm a bit concerned about the robustness of the DID vs. stock. I ride on
volcanic boulders here that have a way of making rim life-spans decrease,
or so I have heard. I am impressed by the teeth on the D606 and MT21
front, I can't wait to mount them.
Fred was invaluable, thanks Fred. Gino you inspired me to lace them
myself, I'll thank you when they are done, you hope. Bogdan and Neil, get
ready for a big "I told you so" Buchanan's has the specs for the KLR
spokes, but doesn't normally make them or stock them. They said it would
be a custom set, made for Da Bomb.... Special people there... Although they
aren't very friendly and they take forever to answer emails, and their
replies are one liners. G' I guess my $$ isn't worthy of them.... Well I
heard that Baja designs supplies the KLR spokes, Thanks Neil. Do they
stock them? Or are they special order type of things, they are Buchanan I
gather.
Well it's late I'm jacked on Caffeine and you get to have my ramblings.
Congrats on the new house Bill. We went for a walk tonight to burn off
some dinner and found a cozy little 6 bedroom 3 bath, canyon lot, cul de
sac, neighbors with motorized toys, 3 level, need an intercom system,
pretty cottage. Looked it up on the net when I returned and decided that
my neighbor with a new (to him) KLR was 10 times more valuable. Ok well so
I couldn't afford it anyway.. but my bud is DS'n and BS'n with me now.
Well, the battery on the laptop is beeping at me, I think its time to
go. I know, its Ok I'll be back tomorrow, wipe your tears. No really I do
want to type, its just that my battery is going dead.... no that's not just
an excuse to go to bed... really. I'll think about you all night.... type
to you in the morning. Bye.
WHAT!? =)

Who wishes that the Caffeine molecules were Fat Tire Molecules.
Shiner Bock was on sale though Whoo Hooo, good cheap beer. For tomorrow in
the garage.
Who is actually a slave in a 28% tax bracket.... considering the Hebrews
were considered slaves in Egypt with only a 20% tax. G that's depressing.
