the sonoma county sheriff has dr350's or 650's, i forget which. i think they only use them for busting backwoods meth labs in the coastal mountains near the russian river. mw

[dsn_klr650] broken frame bolt

Post by steve pye » Fri Apr 21, 2000 6:45 pm

Attachments : Hello Rich, I had the exact same malfunction on my A7 but because I purchased it in damaged condition I had assumed the bolt broke as a result of frame stress during the accident. I discovered the broken bolt after my first weekend of hard riding on rough woods access roads. After reading your post and the responces of other listers I suspect the broken bolt had more to do with vibration in the sub frame assembly than anything else. Re-torqued all four bolts and used Lock-Tite, no problems since then. Looks like it could be worth checking now and then if off roading with these bikes. Steve Pye A7
