Myself and two buddy got the chatterbox CB system a couple of months ago. Works great! We did get the optional handle bar control. The Chatterbox folks seem nice to work with also. The wire section of the antenna fell out. It is held in with one allen screw. I called Chatterbox, before I could finish my story they were ready to send me a new one, no cost. My buddy called with a similar story and they sent him an one also. He thought it would be nice to have an extra one, just in case. Doug A1

I have a chatterbox (the small matchbox one) it works fine but it runs off of watch batteries. One of my VFR friends took an old cassette Walkman and did a neat thing. Get 2 headphones or helmet blaster speaker sets, 2 microphones from radio shack (in the semiconductor section) the using some wire and jacks soldered the microphone leads to the playback head and using a y-jack plugged in his speakers. And there you go insteat intercom. By using the playback head this routes your mic signal through the amplifier and to the headsets. You also get sidetone and you still can play tapes/radio too. Batteries are much easier to get as well. If anyone is good with a soldering iron and wiring and common sense should not have a problem. Any questions? I also have a design for a 40 channel CB setup for motorcycles. I used it many times on my 91 CBR1000F.
