HHMMM... I wonder if we can get the manuals on Micro-Fiche. Just stop into a local library when you need to do service on the road and have all the info you need at a very small fraction of the weight and space requirements. The cost of the paper manuals is more than worth it in your first dollar saved from not going to a dealer service dept. If you roll them up you could probably fit them into a 12-15" long 1.25" PVC pipe. Put on caps then zip tie them to your lower forks, waterproof, non-obtrusive, there when you need them, doesn't affect performance (much). The supplement would be sufficient for most road-side repairs, it isn't that big, I'm sure that you could squeeze it in somewhere. Worth it IMO. OR you could buy them and memorize them, then you'd really have them when you needed them. It wouldn't hurt at all to do some dry run practices in your garage, get to know the procedures, get to know your bike, buy it a quart of octane boost and drink a beer.. you know really bond with it. Have a great trip man. Perhaps you should do the first service BEFORE you leave on your trip, then you have the ever so vast wisdom of the list at your disposal.
