Thanks to everyone who replied to my post regarding the fork spacers. I
replaced the butchered stockers with some PVC sprinkler pipe connectors. The
kind that have no threads, double female connectors, they are appx. 1 7/8"
long and the front end feels 100 times better without the extra 1" of
preload. The reason I couldn't just cut more off the stock spacers is because
the pipe cutter I have needs material on either side of the cutting wheel to
pivot on. Also the thin walled design of the stock spacers makes them a bitch
to work with if they are cut to 3" length, they flex way too easy and the
pipe cutting wheel tends to wander rather than rotate in a straight line.
No extra air in the forks..
Word to your cat.

[dsn_klr650] re:nklr send some heat
Hi Skip. Heat huh, maybe this shameless public solicitation will make you hot under the collar. Will you be in Moab again this year? Would you consider devoting an hour or two to a workshop on your genius tank modification? The one that accesses the half gallon lost in the right side's black hole. You said it's simple but I'm sure a lot of us would benefit from doing it under your tutelage. We could get the necessary parts/hardware in advance. The upon returning to our respective headquarters we could spread the joy to others, spawning a worldwide klr revolution! Bogdan> Send some heat this way, I`m dying to ride. > > Skip >
