This is true, I have tried it! I have just started using WD40 on my chain and the first time I applied it a little over spray ended up on the rear disc. It doesn't take much oil to get rid of that pesky stopping feature. swiss cheese butt plate
Hello All, I was considering drilling holes in the butt plate of my
klr's muffler as some members have done to either get rid of "Tweety"
or to just give the bike a throatier sound (which would be my
motive). My questions are relating to the spark arrestor, would doing
this have a major impact on spark arresting? Is a spark arrestor
mandatory off road (maybe just a North American thing)? If it's not a
legal requirement is it something we should use voluntarily as good
citizens?(I'm assuming forrest fires are the concern from a
backfiring
bike). Finally, do 4X4s comply with spark
arresting?....Thanks..........cosmo(Hmmm is it red wine with the butt
plate)?
